The Otjiherero-speaking Ovahimba, commonly referred to as the Himba, are one of Africa’s last remaining ethnic groups who chose to maintain their traditional life-style by retreating into Namibia’s most remote and un spoilt wilderness area. Slowly the industrialized nations are reawakening to the importance of that balance for the future of our planet.
